Flexirent Services in Dubai
Flexi Rent is not open to every tenant in Dubai. Eligibility comes down to three things: who your landlord is, what kind of unit you are renting, and whether you ask. This page explains each, plainly, so you can work out where you stand. It is informational only — there is no form here and nothing to apply for on this site.
The scheme works through agreements between DLD and specific real estate companies. If your landlord or property manager is one of the named partners — Wasl Properties, Deyaar Property Management, Dubai World Real Estate, Modern Real Estate, Dubai Investment Real Estate, SBK Real Estate, Rocky Real Estate, SRG Properties, Harbor Real Estate, Driven Properties or Al Showaib Real Estate — your tenancy may fall within it. If your landlord is a private individual or a company that has not joined, your unit is outside the official scheme.
Participating companies are offering Flexi Rent on vacant or otherwise eligible units they own or manage. The exact units covered are set by each company’s own approved policy, within the rules DLD has laid down. So even within a participating company, not every property is automatically included.
For new tenants, this means raising flexible payment terms when you negotiate and sign. For existing tenants, it means going back to your landlord or management company and asking to revise your current payment arrangement. Existing contracts are not switched over automatically, and any change is at the participating company’s discretion under the scheme’s terms.
The scheme is a payment-structure concession, not a financing product, so there is no separate financing charge built into it. Some participating companies have indicated they may waive certain administrative fees — for example fees previously associated with cheque arrangements — but specifics vary by company. Always confirm the exact terms, including any fees, directly with the landlord or management company before agreeing.
